As an experimenting artist / designer, I am exploring the deeper meaning of art, and how and why it is invoked through the vehicle of creativity. I have been trying to understand how this creativity is influenced by socio-condition of every day life. Discovering why I make art is the pan-ultimate question that I've been trying to understand as I create and reflect. Art has become a meaningful factor in my life. It has become life itself for art is life and life is art...
In this series titled, "The Process of Intuitive Painting", I experimented with how my mind was intuitively activated without my idiosyncratically innate and cognitive mind being in control. This series was to convey a concept through a process of pure intuition.
The process involved in this series is the experimentation of how the actively cognitive and logical mind is deactivated, and the intuitive mind fully activated. The challenge was deactivating the logical mind. The mind is an involuntary automaton, which we cannot just deactivate. I navigated through to accomplish this series by the process of attuning myself in a meditative and rhythmic-like motion, blocking everything mentally and physically, until I reached a euphoric zone of transient mentality. MY mind became clear and unaffected. The result of this meditative process released a dynamic energy, an ineffable feeling that flowed within my body. I used this dynamic energy as an advantage in making the series. In the process of making, I immersed myself in music, syncing my body with the rhythmic beats and flow of vibration. The vibration reverberated inside me. I channeled that ineffable energy through my body. The immersion of music cohesively fused with the result of meditative process ending in an altered intuitive mind-frame. My altered intuitive mind-frame was utilized to create the paintings without any reference to any iconographic elements, which was the main issue in having an actively cognitive and logical mind. Hence, the production of the process is abstract paintings.
